“Like play, Like play”

I tend to think of myself as an informed person. I like to know about lots of things, from sports to art and everything in between. For a while now, I’ve been interested in saying my piece about different political landscapes. So you may ask “What is holding me back?” And I will answer “Fear of being wrong.” So like I said earlier, I like to think of myself as being informed but when it comes to politics, it’s like a snooze festΒ  😴 because I honestly for the life of me cannot understand why Presidents/national governments act the way they do. In my little mind, everything seems like a joke. Don’t get me wrong 🀷, it really doesn’t matter but I’m very much concerned about the laws/policies that are passed or not passed because no matter how disinterested I may be, it will definitely determine my limit or exposure to lots of things- things I can or cannot do so yeah, I care. For instance in my country πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ #✊, I just think the whole government is a waste. I don’t have figures to prove anything to you, a simple google search would solve that for you but from my corner, I think it is a waste. I know the government is a lie and I know that if we don’t do something about it real soon, we will soon be the lost nation. I love my country, I really do but it’s kind of like an abusive relationship, you love the person hurting you but you have to leave to save yourself. It hurts me everyday knowing that I left my family behind (*insert disinterested face to those who want to argue a point* oh wait there it isΒ  πŸ™„πŸ˜‘πŸ˜) just to get an education that I could have easily gotten in the comfort of my home but like a lot of my peers, I’m out here because our government has failed us. You can definitely have an opinionΒ  about shouting from the outside, but like I said, it’s like an abusive relationship.

So in my own inexperienced and naive mind, this is aΒ  good start;

1⃣ If you were in government when I was told that I would be the leader of tomorrow, then, it is πŸ•› for you toΒ πŸ—£ get out! This is my “tomorrow” so I will like to lead now, thank you for being so understanding.

2⃣ Strengthen (Honestly my preferred choice of word here is overhaul but I don’t want to sound dramatic) the judiciary system and I’m not saying spend forever trying to fish out all the people that have embezzled and misappropriated government funds. While we want our money back, we are also very much interested in people paying appropriately for their acts. It’s very interesting that someone who steals a N87,000 phone can get in front of a judge super quick and wait for it, gets sentenced to death 😲 , I promise you, I didn’t make this upΒ Β http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/travel_news/article-4367986/Thief-sentenced-death-stealing-phone-Nigeria.html . But of course our very able government who swore to uphold the constitution and other lies, have stolen monies greater that some country’s GDP still live (I’m definitely not advocating or otherwise the death sentence, just putting both cases side-by-side 😌) So yes let the judiciary system uphold the law according to the constitution regardless of who is facing the law. (I should have stuck with overhaul because they are also infested πŸ˜’)

Β 3⃣ Give the youth a chance! 😭 , I believe a good number of the youth are very capable of bringing out the positive change we desperately need. I mean many of them are enlightened – yea I didn’t say educated because an overwhelming number of the current government is educated but…πŸ™„, yea so enlightened enough to bring about that change. I’m not saying that they are pure and untouched from the same greedy and poverty stricken mentality that’s deeply nested into the frontal lobe of our very “able” government but I believe (correct me if I’m wrong) that the number of people who aren’t “infested” outweigh the other half (πŸ€” I don’t have a source for that but I’m sure google does 😊)

I don’t have any more fun ideas right now but that’s my 2 cents oh wait 2 kobo πŸ˜… ( I play too much). I’m pretty sure if we sit at a table with enough small chops, we can come up with other fun ideas.

Funny thing is, I’m sure you are thinking “wait, what does the title have to do with the write up?” It’s art my dear, if you don’t get it then you are not part of the “koo kids” πŸ˜›, you are on the outside 😜. Smh, of course not! the reason the write-up is off the topic is because I was going to write about how “like play-like play” world war III is brewing and everyone is acting unbothered.

But then I remember the words of my Father “…first remove the wood out of your own eye. Then you will see clearly to get the dust out of your friend’s eye.”

Yes dust, because that’s all that will be left when my “friend” blows us all up!

Gif Credit: I googled “blow up gif”, not my work but whoever uploaded this, I want to say thank you!

I googled, the gifs, the daily mail link and πŸ€”, I think that’s about it. So my point is my referencing. I never liked APA style while writing my school papers and never for sure for sure got it. In fact I don’t like referencing at all. I respect the hardwork of the people who I have referenced in this piece and give them all the credit for- writing that article in the daily mail (Naomi Leach for mailonline), the bible and to the people who created the gifs. I take zero credit!
